T.C. Williams Invitational field shaping up to be a speedy oneApril 5, 2010

The field for the 2nd edition of the T.C. Williams Women's Invitational
3000m Steeplechase is shaping out to be a speedy one.
The still developing field is currently highlited by two sub 9:30.00
steeplers in former USA Record Holder and National Champion Lisa Galaviz
and 2008 Olympian Roisin McGettigan of Ireland. Also in the field are
American steepler Delilah DiCrescenzo who recently led team USA at the
NACAC X - Country Championships and rising star Lennie Waite who also
holds the national record for Scotland. Other leading entrants are 2008
USA Olympic Trials finalist Lesley Higgins, the fast improving Indiana
Invader Mason Cathey and 2007 USA Championship runner up Kristin Anderson.
The USATF sanctioned race will be held in conjunction with the T.C.
Williams High School Invitational in Alexandria, VA on Saturday, May 01.
This event is designed to promote the women's steeplechase at the high
school level and is co-sponsored by Riadha, Inc and the T.C. Williams High
School.
