Once again a fast finisher foiled a tactical group. A five-runner pack started the last lap but Turava then swiftly broke contact with her pursuers although Kiptum stayed close than most. Mitchell passed Petrova in the short run from last barrier to finish. Seven runners were under the "A" standard for entry into 2007 World Championship meet at Osaka.
