Mayanga led at 1000m in 3:12.55. The venue was excellent for personal bests, achieved by a majority of the fresh runners, as no heats were held -- only a final. And the steeple facility was excellent: an inside water jump with a straight, not curved, approach -- plus clear vision through the barrier uprights of the water beyond.

Grovdal ran 2km steeple In 2006, with 6:22.64 best, but none in 2007 until today as she prepares for 3km steeple next week at the European Junior Championships.
