| Women’s Steeplechase Distance: | 3000 meters |
| Entry Standards: | 9:40 “A” Standard – 9:48 “B” Standard
achieved between 1 January 2008 and 3 August 2009.

| Age Limit: | Must be age 16 or older on 31 December 2009.
Athletes younger than 16 on 31 Dec 2009 cannot compete. |
| Entry Limits: | Each IAAF member / nation can enter from
1 to 4 athletes with the “A” standard, or 1 athlete with
“B” standard and from 1 to 3 with “A” standard.
But in either case no more than three can compete. |
| First Round: | 1050 Saturday, 15 August 2009 |
| Women’s Final: | 2030 Monday, 17 August 2009 |
