Regionals lead to USA "Club Championships" July 15-16 at Walnut, Californiain Southern California. The West Regional was held June 4 in California; results were in Steeple Report 365. Results from South Region meet in Texas and North Region in Illinois, both held June 17, show no steeplechase.
The East Regional is scheduled July 1 at Albany, New York, and has attracted the interest of England's world class steepler Emily Pidgeon, age 16, as a "guest" competitor. Ideally, top USA juniors such Marie Lawrence and Lindsey Ferguson would face Pidgeon in Albany as all three prepare for possible entry in 2006 World Junior Champs at Beijing this August.
The SteepleChics.com Calendar has entry details for East Regional and other USA summer steeple events -- including USA Championships at Indianapolis June 22-25 for which entries are now closed.
