Lisa Valle Breaks 40-44 World Record at USA Masters Champs

Lisa Valle broke the age 40-44 women "masters" world record for 2000m steeplechase record while winning the event at the 2010 USA Masters Championships on 23 July 2010.

Valle's record time of 6:51.92, achieved in traffic of a 14-woman field, bettered the listed WR of 7:01.77 for that age group set by Annette Weiss of Germany on 1 July 2009 at Essen.

All athletes ran in the same race, but awards are based on 5-year age groups; Example: Rosado wins 60-64 age group.
