Murali Krishnan - Maharashtra distance runner Lalita Babar ruled the roost today as she won the womens 3000m steeplechase in 9:42.63 -- nearly a minute faster than the previous meet record of 10:40.81 in 2011 by Priyanka Singh Patel of Uttar Pradesh. Babar's time became the new world leader for 2015 and qualified her for the 2015 World Championships at Beijing in August. Former national record-holder Sudha Singh, tried to challenge Lalita in the early laps but setled for silver medal with 10:04.30. Jayashree Borgi earned bronze with 10:28.44.
