Portland meet offers multiple steeple events June 13June 8, 2009

Steeplers who seek qualifying times, to enter USA Junior and Open Championships June 25-28 at Eugene, can do so June 13 in the nearby Portland (Oregon) Track Festival at the Lewis & Clark College. The afternoon session has both youth and masters 2000m steeple and 3000m open steeple. Evening session has elite women’s 3000m steeple; details for potential entrants (deadline June 10) in men section of meet website: http://www.portlandtrack.org/festival/
Junior women steeplers can qualify for Eugene nationals with either a 2000m steeple in 7:25 or 3000m steeple in 11:10. Top two finishers at Eugene qualify for USA team going to Pan-American Junior Championships July 31-August 2 at Trinidad.
