Steepler Delilah DiCrescenzo won the individual open women's race to lead Team USA to the team title on 6 March 2009 at the sixth annual NACAC (North America, Central America and Caribbean Athletic Association) cross country championships at the Mt. Irvine Resort in Tobago.
DiCrescenzo and steepler Emily Brown ran together in the front pack for 5km where DiCrescenzo took and held the lead to finish first in 20 minutes 50 seconds. Brown was seventh in 22:10. The USA women.s team scored 12 points s in this low-score-wins event. Mexico was second with 26 points.
