The listed world best since 1994 has been 6:11.84 by Marina Pluzhnikova of Russia at the Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg where the barriers height was 91.4cm -- the same as men, as was the case for most women's races outside USA during the first 10 years of women's steeple growth.
