     Shook led all the way, running first three laps at 9:23 pace which could pull some others to World Championships qualifying times. Ankier and Jackson were moving closer before a four-athlete pileup in the water on fifth lap, after which the field slowed -- but Mitchell and Hayakari got personal bests that put both on the World Champs "B" list.
